Nike Cortez – PINK!!!

OMG! I haven’t worn Nike Cortez trainers since I was at school, but then I saw these on ASOS and you’ll totally understand why I had to have them.

Luckily, they come up nice and narrow too, not like their Air Max cousins, which I can never keep on my feet.

This colour-way is available at ASOS only, as far as I can tell and cost £62, which IMO is a bargain and a half for this much beauty!

I’m super pleased that not all Nikes are too wide for those of us with narrow feet and these pink stunners will make the perfect summer trainer. Happy, happy, happy! x

Firetrap: Cutie Canvas Trainers

Hey folks!

Just a quick one today as I’ve had a little success 🙂

I’ve been on the hunt for a comfortable pair of basic pumps / plimsolls since last summer. My previous pair have been so well worn for summer dog walking that they just aren’t acceptable for public consumption any more! I’ve bought numerous pairs but all of them have failed the comfort test once I’ve done more than walk around my bedroom for a few minutes. Until now!

I’ve found these bargainous Firetrap beauties online for a mere £12.99 and you can even get them in baby pink, baby blue or black instead of the white I have gone for and they are fab.

Firetrap, Cutie Canvas Trainers, £12.99,

I think the key for narrow feet is having the laces run most of the way down the foot; it allows you so many more options for securing a snug fit exactly where you need it. They probably won’t last a hugely long time before they start to look a bit tatty, but at that price it’s really not a big problem if you have to buy a second pair. (Maybe do that, just in case they sell out!)

These, combined with the sunshine and blue skies of today have made me a very happy camper. Until next time… x

Trainers: Adidas

For ages now I have been trying to find some hi-top style trainers that fit me well. I’ve ordered numerous pairs which just haven’t fitted, including a pair of Nikes that I wore out and about only to find that I needed loads of inner soles and still they were huge. However, last weekend I went to Berlin with my dad and I really wanted a pair of shoes that would be comfy enough to walk in all day whilst also looking good. I found them in Schuh, here they are:

Adidas Honey Hook Trainers, £57

Adidas Honey Hook Trainers, £57

I picked my pair in the burgundy colour and I LOVE them! As you can see in the picture, I don’t need to pull the laces so tight that the two sides of the shoes are touching each other in the middle and I’m wearing them without inner soles.

The shoes are fleece lined and because they are suede, the hi-top is soft enough that it doesn’t hurt the back of your heel / leg as you walk. I successfully survived 2 whole days on my feet in these and they were really comfy. For just £57 I think these are a real bargain and great for narrow feet. The lady who served me in Schuh even said that Adidas are often narrower than other trainer brands. WINNER! x
